The Pirate Isles are calling, and there’s plenty of treasure waiting to be claimed… provided you can bring it home! 🏴☠️
Fortune’s Frontier Season 0 officially launches on October 16th, introducing a brand-new seasonal game mode that brings PvPvE adventure built around exploration, risk, and the constant question of whether to keep pushing forward or return safely with everything you've earned.
Visit Fortune's Frontier's Website
Battle creatures and rival treasure hunters, discover powerful equipment, experiment with new builds, and venture into increasingly dangerous territories in pursuit of greater rewards.
With faster progression and recurring fresh starts, Fortune’s Frontier is designed for both longtime RavenQuest veterans and completely new Adventurers, giving everyone a chance to begin their journey on equal footing.
In our First Look at Fortune’s Frontier , we explored the story of the Dawn of Fortune, the legendary ship whose wreck scattered the riches of old Lyderia across the Pirate Isles.
Now, to help you prepare for Season 0, we've put together this DevBlog as a guide to the core gameplay of Fortune's Frontier, from understanding the risks of each island and preparing your character to mastering the different systems, progressing through the season, and building your fortune.
And there's even more to discover once you are in-game! Fortune's Frontier will also feature a dedicated Tutorial section, where Adventurers can find detailed explanations of the game's various systems and mechanics, allowing you to learn at your own pace and revisit the information whenever needed.
Now, let's explore what awaits on the Frontier!

Every great adventure needs a place to begin.
Long ago, the legendary Dawn of Fortune set sail carrying the riches of some of Lyderia's most powerful noble families. But its voyage ended in disaster, scattering unimaginable treasures across the Pirate Isles.
From the remains of that colossal ship, a new city eventually emerged: Fortune's Frontier.

After completing the Tutorial, Adventurers will arrive in Fortune's Frontier at Level 70, equipped with a pre-set build based on the Archetype selected during character creation.
But don't worry, your initial build is just a starting point! You will be free to change and customize it at any time, experimenting with different Archetypes, skills, and playstyles as you discover what works best for you.
Fortune's Frontier serves as your central hub between adventures. Here, you will prepare your equipment, store valuable belongings, customize your character, and get ready for your next journey.
But the real treasures lie beyond the safety of the city.
Surrounding Fortune's Frontier are three distinct islands: Sajecho, Harbor, and Gilead. Each presents a different level of danger, with increasingly valuable rewards and greater consequences for those who fall in battle.

The further you are willing to venture, the greater the potential rewards… but also the greater the risks.
Sajecho offers a more accessible environment for Adventurers looking to find their footing, experiment with builds, and begin collecting their first meaningful upgrades.
PvP is disabled, allowing players to focus entirely on creatures, exploration, and progression. The rewards here are more modest, but so are the risks.
If you fall in battle, 30% of your carried Treasure is destroyed, while your equipment, Veiled RavenCards, and Mystery Munk Songs remain with you.

Sajecho is the perfect place to begin learning the Frontier's systems and preparing for greater challenges.
But don't get too comfortable. The Pirate Isles have much more waiting beyond Sajecho's shores.
To enter Harbor, better equipment is required: your Attack Power and Defense Power must average 380. Once your gear is strong enough, this island offers a new level of challenge.
Stronger creatures, valuable discoveries, and greater opportunities for progression await those venturing further.
Here, PvP is enabled, and other Adventurers may be just as interested in your Treasure as you are. Unprovoked attacks and kills carry Infamy penalties, but that doesn't mean everyone you encounter will have peaceful intentions.
Death in Harbor causes your carried Treasure, equipment, and consumables to drop for others to claim. Additionally, one random piece of equipped gear is destroyed.

Every successful return can bring meaningful progression, but staying aware of your surroundings becomes just as important as defeating the creatures ahead.
For those seeking the most dangerous encounters and exceptionally valuable rewards, Gilead is the ultimate gamble for the well-prepared. Your Attack Power and Defense Power must average 450 to enter Gilead, and for good reason.
Here, stronger creatures and greater Treasure opportunities are accompanied by unrestricted PvP, with no Infamy penalties for attacking other Adventurers.
And the consequences of defeat are far more severe. In Gilead, your Inventory and equipped gear are both at risk, with your belongings dropping for other players to loot, subject to the mode's item protection rules.

Every fight matters. Every encounter could change the outcome of your journey.
A successful escape could bring your greatest fortune yet. A failed one could make another Adventurer rich.
Now that you know what awaits beyond the city walls, it's time to prepare for your first Incursion.

Every fortune begins with a decision.
Will you explore the wilderness for better equipment? Hunt creatures for rare RavenCards? Or brave dangerous territories for greater rewards, knowing every encounter could cost you everything?
Every incursion is a new opportunity to grow stronger, build your fortune, and push your limits.
Now that you know where the dangers lie, it's time to prepare for your first incursion in one of the three islands.
Every adventure begins in the city of Fortune's Frontier, where you will prepare your equipment, customize your build, choose your Trinket, replenish supplies, and safely store valuable belongings in your Bank before heading out.
Your adventure begins by opening the Starter Chests in your Inventory, which provide equipment suited for your first incursion into Sajecho. While this gear serves as an always available baseline, it's the upgrades you discover along the way which will shape your character and open the door to more dangerous challenges.

Incursions consume Energy, which regenerates while you are in the city, making each return an opportunity to recover and prepare for your next incursion.
Energy determines how long you can stay active on the islands. Running out leaves you exhausted, unable to attack, collect loot, or gain Experience, and causes damage over time.
When heading out on your own, Lone Wolf gives Adventurers who are not in a Party 20% increased damage against other players and 20% reduced damage taken from them.
Once you are ready, head through a Waypoint, choose your destination, and let the hunt begin.
The Pirate Isles are filled with dangerous creatures guarding much more than simple Treasure.
Defeating them can reward Adventurers with Equipment, Treasure, Mystery Munk Songs, and Veiled RavenCards, offering new opportunities to strengthen your character with every successful Incursion.
Loot is collected automatically, allowing you to remain focused on exploration and combat.
Perhaps your next encounter rewards you with a stronger weapon. Maybe you discover a RavenCard capable of transforming one of your favorite abilities. Or perhaps another Treasure Chest is just around the corner.
But there's always one important question: How much are you willing to risk before returning home?
The longer you remain on the islands, the greater the temptation to keep hunting. And sometimes, knowing when to leave is just as important as knowing how to fight.
Returning safely through a Waypoint secures your haul and lets you decide what to do with your discoveries.
Equipment that strengthens your character can be equipped or saved for future adventures. But even the items you no longer need can become something valuable!
Branna the Breaker allows Adventurers to break down unwanted equipment into Treasure, while Sylas Blacktalon can cash out your collected Treasure in exchange for Silver, the primary currency of Fortune's Frontier.

Unlike the valuables carried through dangerous territories, Silver remains safe from death, letting Adventurers build wealth and invest in supplies, equipment upgrades, RavenCards, and other progression opportunities.
And there's another reason to keep bringing home Treasure: every successful Cashout contributes toward your Fortune Hunter progression and seasonal Silver Leaderboards, bringing you closer to additional rewards and recognition.
With your earnings secured and your equipment improved, it's time to prepare for the next adventure. But a successful Incursion isn't just about the equipment you carry. It's also about the choices you make before stepping onto the islands… and one of the most important is your Trinket.

Not every Adventurer seeks fortune in the same way. Some hunt creatures and collect Treasure. Others prepare to defend themselves against rival explorers. And some see greater opportunities in taking what others have found.
The Trinket System allows players to shape their approach before every Incursion.
Trinkets are equippable items that combine a Passive Bonus with an Active Ability, which appears on your Action Bar. You can equip one Trinket at a time, choosing between three distinct roles:

◈ Salvager Trinkets improve Treasure Pouch and Treasure Chest drops from creatures, with active abilities focused on creature combat to help you hunt efficiently and bring home a richer haul.
◈ Contender Trinkets reduce damage received from other players, with additional protection against Reaver users and active abilities that help you survive and reposition.
◈ Reaver Trinkets increase damage against other players, with an additional advantage against Salvager users and active abilities built for pursuing and disrupting rivals.
All 6 Trinkets are available in your Inventory from the start, letting you experiment with each role. They can only be equipped or swapped in the city, so make your choice before leaving for the islands.
Trinkets are also Soulbound, meaning they remain safe even if you fall in battle.
Whether you are chasing Treasure, defending your discoveries, or hunting rival Adventurers, the choice is yours.

Your Trinket shapes your approach to an incursion. Your build determines how you overcome its challenges.
Fortune's Frontier brings RavenQuest's character customization into a faster-paced progression experience, combining familiar systems with new opportunities to experiment, adapt, and discover powerful combinations.
Adventurers begin their journey at Level 70, allowing them to immediately explore builds and participate in Fortune's Frontier's core gameplay.
Just like in RavenQuest, players can combine three Archetypes to shape their skills and overall combat strategy.

Mix offensive abilities with healing, reinforce your character with defensive tools, or experiment with Crowd Control to create new opportunities during combat.
After completing the tutorial, you start with a Preset Build, with three Archetypes selected and skills already unlocked. Preset Builds support different playstyles and can be swapped freely, letting you try different approaches.
As you become familiar with your abilities, you can edit a preset or create your own build to suit your playstyle.
Equipment discovered throughout your Incursions will continue strengthening your character, offering new possibilities as you prepare for increasingly dangerous territories.
The Munk Songs System introduces another layer of customization to your adventures.
While exploring the islands, Adventurers may discover Mystery Munk Songs, which can be brought back to the city and used to unlock powerful temporary effects.
Each Mystery Munk Song offers a choice between three different Songs and players can prepare up to six active Song effects before setting out.

These bonuses can complement your build, reinforce a particular strategy, or encourage you to experiment with entirely different combinations.
However, their power is temporary. Active Munk Song effects expire when you die or return to the city, making them an important part of preparing for each new Incursion.
Spare Mystery Munk Songs can be saved for future adventures or exchanged for higher-rarity versions at the Munk Troubadour in the city’s tavern, where you can also buy Common Mystery Munk Songs.
RavenCards remain an important part of character progression in Fortune's Frontier, allowing Adventurers to customize and strengthen their Archetype abilities.
Players can discover Veiled RavenCards while exploring the islands or purchase Frontier Packs with Silver from the Munk Wizard in the city’s tavern.

Every skill associated with an Archetype has two different RavenCard options, each offering unique effects that can change how that ability performs.
Higher-rarity RavenCards provide stronger bonuses, making every discovery another opportunity to improve your character or explore a different build.
As your collection grows, so does the number of strategies available to you.
And even when you discover equipment that doesn't fit your current plans, it may still hold considerable value.

Fortune's Frontier was built from the remains of a legendary shipwreck.
And just as its earliest inhabitants turned lost materials into something valuable, Adventurers will discover plenty of ways to transform their findings into new opportunities.
At the center of this progression lies Treasure, Silver, and a player-driven economy.
Sometimes the perfect equipment upgrade isn't found during your own adventure. It's found by someone else.
The Marketplace allows Adventurers to buy and sell equipment and other eligible items using Silver, creating new opportunities for trading and character progression.
Players can browse existing offers, list valuable discoveries, or place Buy Orders for items they are seeking. Direct trading between players is unavailable. All player-to-player trades must go through the Marketplace.

Market access unlocks at Level 71, while Frontier Pass holders (expanded below) can begin trading immediately.
Listing and sale taxes apply to transactions, with reduced Marketplace taxes available as one of the Frontier Pass benefits.
Fortune's Frontier also introduces Frontier Coins, a premium currency used to purchase the Frontier Pass and exclusive cosmetics available through The Munk Shop!
Frontier Coins can be purchased directly in The Munk Shop! Celebrate Season 0 with 20% off:

This creates another meaningful use for the Silver you earn throughout the season, connecting your successful adventures to additional rewards and customization opportunities!

The Dawn of Fortune may never have completed its voyage, but yours is just beginning.
While Fortune's Frontier is built around fresh starts and seasonal competition, your achievements can extend far beyond a single season… and even into RavenQuest itself.
One of the most valuable rewards Adventurers can earn throughout Fortune's Frontier is Frontier Emblems, a special currency designed to reward your achievements and support your progression beyond the current season.
There are different ways to obtain them, including seasonal Clan Leaderboard rewards (explained above) and the Fortune Hunter System, ensuring that even Adventurers who aren't competing for the highest rankings have opportunities to earn valuable rewards.
Through Fortune Hunter, every Treasure Cashout contributes toward completing progression objectives, unlocking rewards such as Munk Songs, RavenCards, and Frontier Emblems as you advance.
Unlike regular seasonal progression, Frontier Emblems carry over between seasons, allowing Adventurers to accumulate them throughout their continued journeys.
These Emblems can be exchanged for various rewards and items that help prepare for future seasons, giving your previous accomplishments lasting value even when a new progression cycle begins.
And the value of Frontier Emblems doesn't stop within Fortune's Frontier.
The total Frontier Emblems you earn in Fortune's Frontier are also copied over to RavenQuest, where they can be exchanged for special cosmetics and valuable items.
For newcomers, this creates a natural connection between their first adventures on the Pirate Isles and the larger, persistent world of RavenQuest. For veteran Adventurers, it provides another opportunity to earn rewards that complement their existing journey.
Every season is a fresh beginning, but the fortune you build can continue rewarding you long after it ends.

A Treasure hunt across Sajecho.
A dangerous encounter along Harbor's shores.
Or a desperate escape from Gilead with everything you've earned on the line.
