Update 1.0.3 Notes

Update 1.0.3 arrives today with exciting new features and essential improvements to the long-term economy in RavenQuest.

The Emote Wheel is here for you all to flex on your opponents, celebrate victories with your friends, or just say hi to a fellow Adventurer! Further express yourself in RavenQuest, with an additional layer of personality to your adventures.

In addition, this update introduces economic adjustments, PvP improvements, enhanced sound effects, and a series of bug fixes that strengthen overall stability and elevate your gameplay experience!

The Fishing profession has seen several tweaks and improvements since release — but still stands as the strongest profession and silver generator in RavenQuest. To help balance fishing across all professions, Fishing, like Farming & Husbandry, will now require a small amount of Effort.

Going forward, every attempt to catch fish will consume Effort:

  • Shoreline Fishing / non-Salt Water Fish will cost a flat 10 Effort.
  • Ocean / Salt Water Fish will start at 20 Effort, scaling up based on the level of the fish on your hook. However, higher level fish will have a reduced ratio of Effort needed to be caught, increasing the value for high level Fishers.

Fish Pools will now display the maximum possible Effort cost based on your current Fishing level. Additionally, to make tracking Effort costs easier across all Professions, we’re also working on an update to the Professions UI. This will display the Effort cost of each action more clearly, and help you plan your sessions more efficiently — especially when targeting specific fish!

Play to Unlock, introduced with Update 1.0.2, is now automatic! Every time you open a Fame $QUEST Chest or a Merchant Influence $QUEST Chest, you’ll receive double the amount of $QUEST from your reward if you have locked tokens from Alphas & Early Accesses!

  • Got Vested Tokens? Your $QUEST Rewards are automatically doubled!
  • Not enough? You’ll still get the maximum extra amount your balance allows.

You can check the amount of Locked Tokens here. This system ensures that dedicated players earn even more while unlocking the tokens they helped shape during development. Start opening your chests and make the most of Play to Unlock!

The Play to Unlock system is officially live since Update 1.0.2! This means that the release of Fame-related $QUEST from Cycle 1 will be delivered with the Fame $QUEST from this Tuesday. The unlocked amount will be automatically sent to the game, and will appear in the history table on the Website Balance page. This process can take up to 5 minutes to be processed.

It’s time to level up your adventures with a whole new way to show off your personality, hype up your squad, and throw a little shade when it counts. Introducing the Emote Wheel — your go-to feature for flair, fun, and full-on feels in the middle of battle or downtime!

With a single key press, the Emote Wheel lets you instantly fire off one of 39 unique Emotes — from wholesome gestures to over-the-top celebrations. Whether you're throwing a Ravenlove to your crew, hitting that slick Ravendab after a big win, or just letting your enemies know they almost had a chance — there's an Emote for every epic moment.

You can access the Emote Wheel through a brand-new HUD widget located next to your action bar, or simply by pressing Shift + I. From there, customize your Wheel by dragging your favorite Emotes into the bottom section of the selector window. Want even faster access? Head to your Hotkey Manager (Settings ➝ Hotkeys ➝ Actions) and bind your favorite Emotes to individual keys for quickfire expression whenever the vibe hits!

All the available emotes are right away unlocked for Patrons, and this is just the beginning — even more Emotes are already in the works and will be rolling out in future updates. Stay tuned for new ways to express yourself!
