Update 1.0.6 Notes

Today, we’re excited to bring you Update 1.0.6 — with a few important changes to our originally planned Patch order! After reviewing our development priorities, we’ve decided to swap the release of Update 1.0.6 and Update 1.0.7. This means that Veiled Cards will now arrive with 1.0.7, while Ocean Trophies and the new Legacy Reset item will be coming with this Update.

This adjustment allows us to stay focused on delivering critical core improvements, while also empowering Adventurers who reach Legacy Level 76 to reset and experiment with the powerful Legacy Skills, alongside earning exciting new rewards from Ocean Content!

We also recently shared a sneak peek on Discord of several big features and updates not yet shown on our public Roadmap — because we’re always cooking up more than what’s listed! Now, let’s dive into all the details coming with Update 1.0.6!

The waters of RavenQuest are as perilous as they are rewarding — and for the boldest captains, true glory now lies beneath the waves.

Just as adventurers battle ferocious beasts on land, those who brave the open seas must face terrifying marine creatures to prove their dominance. With our latest update, the most seasoned sea captains can now earn Ocean Trophies — exclusive new items awarded only to those who defeat the fiercest predators of the deep.

Unlike battles against hostile ships such as Pirate Frigates or Ghost Galleons, these trophies can only be obtained by vanquishing true oceanic threats like Vampire Squids, Giant Jellyfish, Orcas, and more. Much like land trophies, these Ocean Trophies can be proudly displayed in your home, granting powerful permanent bonuses to your character. Here’s what you can earn:

  • Shallow Sea Trophy — Grants a +20% multiplicative bonus to drop rates from Ocean Creatures (does not affect Glory Shards or other Trophies).
    • Obtained from: Giant Jellyfish, Anglerfish, Sharks, and Piranha Swarms.

  • Deep Sea Trophy — Grants a +10% bonus to damage dealt to fish while fishing.
    • Obtained from: Narwhals and Vampire Squids.

  • Predator Trophy — Grants a +10% bonus to damage dealt by your Ship Cannon.
    • Obtained from: Great White Sharks.

  • Apex Predator Trophy — Grants a +2% bonus to both Spell Power and Weapon Power.
    • Obtained from: Orcas.

Note: Ocean Trophies are currently not obtainable through Glory Shards.

In the ever-evolving world of RavenQuest, freedom of choice and limitless customization are at the core of every adventurer's journey. As players prepare to unlock their Legacy Skills for the first time, a powerful new option now emerges — the ability to reset your Legacy Skills and reshape your destiny.

Introducing Aeva the Aethertouched, a mysterious figure who resides in the northeastern reaches of the Ravencrest Slums. Through her deep command of the arcane, she grants access to the Temporal Hourglass — a rare and powerful artifact capable of rewinding fate itself.

By seeking out Aeva, Adventurers can learn how to wield the Temporal Hourglass — an item that allows them to reset their chosen Legacy Skill. By shattering the hourglass and unleashing the energies within, players can forge a new path forward.

However, beware — the Temporal Hourglass is a single-use item, and each time you return to Aeva, the price of her services will rise:

  • First Hourglass1,000,000 Silver
  • Second Hourglass5,000,000 Silver
  • Third Hourglass15,000,000 Silver
  • Fourth Hourglass25,000,000 Silver
  • Fifth and beyond50,000,000 Silver

Embrace the power to reshape your legacy — but choose wisely, for the sands of time are precious.

Herbalism & Tradepacks

We’ve made key adjustments to Herbalism planting recipes to bring them better in line with other Gathering Professions.

Previously, many Herbalism plants were set at higher-than-intended skill levels, which often left Herbalists behind when contributing to core Alchemy, Cooking, and Crafting recipes. That said, we've adjusted the required skill levels for nearly all Herbalism plants, both in Land and Open World, to better align with other Professions, particularly for mid to late-game progression.

During these improvements, we also uncovered a calculation bug that caused planting costs for Herbs to be significantly higher than intended. This has now been fixed, and you can expect a significantly planting cost reduction for Herbs, making Herbalism far more accessible and rewarding.

In addition, we’ve temporarily locked five Herbalism-related Tradepacks that were technically live but couldn’t actually be completed. Normally, Tradepacks become available once roughly 10% of Adventurers are able to craft them — a safeguard that helps prevent premature market crashes. The following Tradepacks have been locked for the time being:

  • Seer's Support Pack
  • Exotic Spices
  • Yornish Seasonings
  • Hardy Roots
  • Elemental Sprout

Locking these ensures they no longer interfere with market balance, and as of today, their excess demand will be evenly redistributed across the 47 remaining active Tradepacks, helping to stabilize pricing and maintain fair player progression.

Progression

To support players and create a smoother transition from early to mid-game, and to better prepare them for participating in the in-game economy, we are introducing a new reward at Legacy Level 20 as part of the North Star Questline. Upon claiming it (retroactive for players who have already completed the quest), you’ll receive two specialized equipment chests, allowing you to select:

  • A Tier 2 Weapon (or weapon set)
  • Armor, Legs, Boots, and a Helm tailored to your preferred playstyle.

These items come with preset Attributes, offering a strong foundation as you evolve from a novice into a seasoned adventurer.

  • Fixed an issue during the "Gritty General" event where the Mentor System could block players from receiving contribution, preventing them from earning the associated Artifact. Triggering the Event will now properly grant contribution. Rewards were not affected and remain the same.
