Update 1.0.7 Notes

Update 1.0.7 has arrived! Bringing new systems to the game for our Adventurers, and a significant amount of improvements to core elements of RavenQuest!

Veiled Cards have arrived! Adding new rewards for those slaying creatures around the world of RavenQuest. Whether you're a fresh-faced adventurer or a seasoned hero, hunting now offer additional thrilling rewards — so long as you’re brave enough to take on worthy foes! With this, we’ve also made inventory management smoother than ever with a brand-new Creature Loot Backpack, built to keep your hunts efficient and your loot organized.

This update brings targeted refinements to Ocean Fishing, aimed at making the experience more rewarding for those investing in fishing-focused ships. We've increased the effectiveness of Fishing Ship abilities and adjusted the health of Saltwater fish to emphasize the importance of proper tools for the job.

Just like Land and RavenCards, you are now able to mint your Moas and Cosmetics with all fees covered!

Veiled Cards have officially arrived in the world of RavenQuest! This new system brings an exciting twist to creature hunting, injecting a fresh layer of mystery and new rewards to your adventures!

What Are Veiled Cards?

As you hunt creatures across the world, you now have a chance to receive Veiled Cards — mysterious, magical RavenCards whose rarity is visible, but identity is hidden. You won’t know which card you’ve found until you unveil it, making each drop a little hit of dopamine for your inner collector!

Unlike traditional RavenCards, Veiled Cards aren’t level-gated. Instead, they drop based on creature strength.

These cards have long been scattered across the realm, their powers hidden beneath protective enchantments. But with a little help from Munk magic, their secrets can be revealed.

Unveiling Your Cards

Once you’ve secured a Veiled Card, head to the Munk Wizard at the Lorekeep in Ravencrest (just south of the bank)! The Munk Wizard is able to unveil your Veiled Cards to discover their true nature, however, for more powerful RavenCards, he will require a small tip to do so. Hey, Munks gotta make a living too!

The Munk's power is limited however, and his tip expected will change based on the demand of his magic!

Happy hunting, Adventurers ー and may your pulls be legendary!

A common concern for many of our Adventurers has been the exceptionally low barrier to entry for fishing, and the very little benefit to truly investing in Fishing. This has lead Fishing to be a significant silver generation activity in RavenQuest, which virtually no investment into a character to do so.

This is heavily supported by data, where we see that right now, fishing continues to remain the strongest silver generating source in the game, considering weighing by time spent, investment, and accessibility.

This leads to larger long-term issues, where players that do significantly invest into their characters, see lower than expected silver generation compared to fishing which requires very little investment.

This update brings significant adjustments to Ocean Fishing, aimed at making the experience more rewarding for those investing in fishing ships and fishing related tools. With this update, we have increased the damage boost that fishing ships provide significantly and adjusted the health of Saltwater fish to emphasize the importance of proper tools for the job.

Ships

As part of our ongoing efforts to expand and refine Ocean gameplay — especially for dedicated fishers — this update introduces adjustments to the bonuses provided by Fishing Ships. These changes come alongside increased health for many fish species and are designed to create a clearer distinction between professional anglers and more casual participants. With that in mind, the following updates have been made to Fishing Ships:

  • Small Fishing Ship ー Increases the damage of fishing abilities from 10% → 30%.
  • Medium Fishing Ship Increases the damage of fishing abilities from 20% → 50%.
  • Large Fishing Ship ー Increases the damage of fishing abilities from 30% → 70%.

Fishes

Lastly, we've also increased the base health of many Saltwater fish to encourage the use of Fishing Ships among those aiming to become top-tier anglers. These changes are intended to reduce the efficiency of using non-fishing vessels — especially at higher levels — and to better define the distinction between combat-focused and utility-focused ships.

Additionally, we have adjusted the way that fish sizes are determined. Previously, the values were static and simply changed upon hitting level 30 Fishing, with virtually no impact to fish silver (and thus, value) for Fishing Levels higher than this. We have adjusted these values to make progression of fish sizes significantly stronger towards higher levels, making Gargantuan fishes more rare and valuable.

Low level fishers will see the largest reduction in Large and Gargantuan fishes caught. High level fishers will see a reduced impact from this change. However, all fishers will see some level of reduction of Gargantuan fish, increasing their rarity and thrill to catch.

While we will continue to look to fine tune these values after tomorrows Patch, as it is a significant adjustment, based on significant data collected over the last week (millions of fish data set), even if were to make an even steeper adjustment here, we would still see fishing be an very effective way to obtain silver in RavenQuest, this change helps bring it more aligned and not in the significantly overpowered silver generation state it is now.

In response to community feedback, we’re excited to introduce a dedicated inventory tab built specifically for managing your Creature Products — meet the Creature Loot Backpack!

This new backpack is available free for all players and can be found just to the right of your Quest inventory. It offers 162 fixed slots, exclusively reserved for Creature Products, making it easier than ever to keep your loot organized while you’re out adventuring. Here’s how it works:

  • The backpack is permanently named “Creature Loot” and cannot be renamed or modified.
  • Only items classified as Creature Products will be placed here automatically.
  • If your Creature Loot backpack is full, excess items will follow standard sorting rules and be placed in your other backpacks.

This update is all about streamlining your inventory experience and keeping your main bags clutter-free as you hunt across the world of RavenQuest. Enjoy the extra space — and happy looting!

Warforge

The wait is over: Warforged status transfer is now live!

Players can now move the Warforged status between items of the same type — swap it between your weapons (yes, even between One-Handed and Two-Handed!) or shuffle it around your armor pieces to perfect your build. Just remember: weapons and armor don't mix — transfers stay within their own category. Get ready to optimize like never before!

Plunder Channel

To encourage fair PvP engagement while enjoying the perks of the Plunder Channel, we've introduced the following changes:

  • From now on, while on the Plunder Channel, Infamy will no longer be generated or reduced, and any existing Infamy will have no effects or debuffs.
  • Added a logout restriction to the Plunder Channel. Players can no longer log out unless they are in a Peace Zone (e.g., Ravencrest).

Core Systems

  • The Aether Rifts System now prioritizes channels with lower ping when a player joins a Rift, resulting in generally lower latency for most players.
  • Players now have up to 5 minutes to reconnect to the same channel after a disconnection. This helps prevent situations — such as while carrying a Tradepack — where a brief connection drop would otherwise place you in a different channel upon reconnecting.
  • Added a Legacy Level requirement to access the Marketplace and Personal Trading function:
    • Marketplace ー Legacy Level 30.
    • Personal Trading Legacy Level 35.

Professions

  • Gathering Proficiency has been renamed to Experienced Farmer. Experienced Farmer I & II increases Experience gained from activities performed on your Land by 3% / 7%.
  • The description of Good Fortune I & II have been updated for clarity. These passives now clearly state that they increase your chance to obtain specific rare materials by 3% / 7%. Affected rare materials include:
    • Three-Leaf Clover
    • Fertilizer
    • Dense Log
    • Truffle
    • Amethyst
    • Citrine
    • Emerald
    • Ruby
    • Sapphire
    • Topaz

With these changes, the descriptions now clearly indicate the bonuses provided, removing ambiguity and helping you better plan your adventures!

Misc

  • Added a new hotkey for taking screenshots. The feature is now available under Options → Hotkeys → Misc → Screenshot. Using this function copies a screenshot of the entire game window to your clipboard, similar to pressing Ctrl + C.
  • Added status icon and tooltip for the passive Hatred, providing clear information about the passive’s functionality.
  • Place Farm and Crafting actions using $QUEST now explicitly mention the 20% discount being applied, making the benefit more transparent to players.

  • Channeling abilities now function properly while under the effects of Illusive.
  • Experience values in the Profession UI now update correctly in real time without requiring a relog.
  • Corrected a spelling error in the title awarded for collecting all Harbor Isle Artifacts.
  • Glaceforde’s Journal tab is now correctly displaying the obtainment information for Frozen Sigil items 3 and 5.
  • Players progressing through the "Conditions and Results" Story Quest can now only target Fungi creatures found on Gilead, as intended.
  • Fixed an issue where players could swap trinkets with active effects during the cooldown of their skills.
  • Fixed an issue that caused some text to be incorrectly translated in specific UIs, such as the Login Screen.
  • Fixed an issue where players received reduced Experience from Crafting while in a party with the Mentor System active.
  • Fixed an issue in the Husbandry Profession UI where animals without any restrictions were incorrectly showing passive restriction tags.
  • Fixed a bug where the "Eternal Worms" skill would ignore Coldblast's Deepfreeze DoT effect when equipped with the Iceshell Giant RavenCard.
