New Wilds Update Notes

New Wilds is here, opening new ground for Adventurers across RavenQuest!

With this update, the world grows with several new hunting spots and roughly 4,200 additional creatures spread across Ostera, Glaceforde, Elder Coast, Rohna Woods, and the Frost Steppes. New creatures are emerging, long-sealed locations are opening their doors, and high-level Adventurers will find significantly more options to hunt, complete Rangers Company tasks, and explore beyond the familiar paths.

But New Wilds goes beyond new hunting grounds. Disconnect Protection introduces a safer way to recover from unexpected connection losses, Google Sign-In makes it easier for new Adventurers to begin their journey, and new features such as Player Inspection and World Map improvements make everyday exploration smoother and more convenient.

Alongside these additions comes another round of Quality of Life improvements, balance adjustments, and fixes. Many of these changes were shaped directly by community feedback (represented by 🀝), continuing our focus on addressing issues raised by our players while making RavenQuest a smoother, more enjoyable experience.

If you have thoughts about this update or ideas for future improvements, send them to the Discord Feedback Channel. Our team regularly reads player feedback, and many of the changes you see in the game start right there!

Now, let’s dive into Update 1.3.2!

The Aura collection continues to grow! Following their introduction in Embers of Dragonforge , three brand-new Auras are joining RavenQuest, bringing more ways to customize your adventure and make your presence unmistakable wherever your journey takes you!

Few things are more frustrating than losing your connection at the worst possible moment. A brief internet interruption, client crash, or unexpected closure shouldn't automatically put your character at risk when you had no intention of leaving the game.

With this update, we are introducing Disconnect Protection, a new system built to give Adventurers a safer opportunity to recover from unexpected connection losses, while preserving the danger and competitive integrity of PvP and high-risk content.

When an unexpected disconnect is detected, your character will remain in the game world under Disconnect Protection for up to 45 seconds, giving you a chance to reconnect and continue your adventure. While the Protection is active, your character will be:

β€’ Immune to all damage;
β€’ Unable to be targeted or collided with;
β€’ Immediately removed from monster aggro;
β€’ Temporarily separated from any active summons, which will be despawned.

Disconnect Protection is specifically intended for unexpected connection losses, client crashes, and unexpected client termination. Logging out normally will not activate protection.

Protection & Reconnection

Since the system is designed to help with genuine connection problems (and not provide an escape from dangerous situations), the protection will not activate if you are PvP combat-locked, have an active Skull status, are inside a Tyrant encounter, Aether Echo, Rift, or are participating in an active Arena or Guild War. In these situations, the existing disconnect behavior remains unchanged.

If you reconnect within the 45-second protection window, you will return with an additional 8-second grace period, giving you a brief moment to fully recover before you are exposed again.

This grace period isn't an opportunity to act without risk. Protection ends immediately as soon as you perform an action, including moving, attacking, using an ability or item, changing equipment, or moving items whenever those actions are available.

If you don't reconnect within 45 seconds, the protection expires and the existing logout behavior resumes as normal.

Additionally, we have also introduced safeguards to prevent repeated disconnects from being used intentionally. Protection will become temporarily unavailable after reaching any of the following thresholds:

β€’ 3 disconnects within 60 minutes
β€’ 4 disconnects within 180 minutes
β€’ 5 disconnects within 300 minutes
β€’ 6 or more disconnects within the same day

Once a threshold is reached, further disconnects will follow the existing disconnect behavior until the applicable restriction expires.

Additionally, after reconnecting through Disconnect Protection, players are temporarily prevented from initiating unjustified PvP for 120–180 seconds, further ensuring the system cannot be used to gain an unfair advantage.

We've also added dedicated visual indicators to clearly identify characters currently under Disconnect Protection, as well as a system message upon reconnection confirming when your protection is still active.

Tradepack Protection

Disconnect Protection also introduces additional safeguards for Adventurers transporting Tradepacks through non-PvP areas.

If you unexpectedly disconnect or crash while carrying a Tradepack inside a Safe Zone or Peace Zone, your character will remain online for up to 5 minutes. During this period, the Tradepack remains attached to your character and will not be dropped on the ground, giving you time to reconnect and resume your journey.

If you haven't returned after five minutes, the existing disconnect behavior resumes.

Tradepack Protection does not apply in PvP-enabled areas, ensuring the risks associated with transporting Tradepacks through dangerous territory remain unchanged.

With Disconnect Protection, brief technical issues should be far less likely to turn into punishing losses β€” while the danger of PvP, high-risk activities, and intentional combat decisions remains exactly where it belongs.

With New Wilds, we are bringing a total of 13 new hunting spots to the world, adding roughly 4,200 creatures across Ostera, Glaceforde, Elder Coast, Rohna Woods, and the Frost Steppes!

This expansion is heavily focused on the Level 80+ and 90+ ranges, significantly increasing the variety of endgame hunting options while providing considerably more task availability for high-level Adventurers.

But there's more waiting to be discovered. New creatures are making their way into the world, while old, long-sealed locations are finally opening their doors to Adventurers once again. And some of these forgotten places may be hiding far more than just creatures... Keep your eyes open and don't be afraid to explore off the beaten path! πŸ‘€

Ostera

β€’ [🀝] Direhorn Drakes beneath Tremoring Hills, Ostera (Level 96–98) β€” A massive Direhorn Drake nest has been discovered deep within the caverns beneath Tremoring Hills. As one of the largest new hunting areas introduced in this update, its tunnels are packed with Direhorn Drakes and feature high creature density. Venture into the depths preparedβ€”the creatures below leave little room for error.

β€’ [🀝] Stonelings beneath Tremoring Hills, Ostera (Level 96–98) β€” A massive, high-density Stoneling hunting area has opened deep beneath Tremoring Hills. Its layout builds upon the design of the previously introduced Stoneling hunting area, which was very well received by the community, offering another large-scale option for high-level Adventurers.

β€’ [🀝] Saltdusks at Butchers Point, Ostera (Level 95–97) β€” Saltdusks have established a new presence around Butchers Point, introducing another high-level hunting option to Ostera.

β€’ Molebears at Stonebound Burrow, Ostera (Level 95–97) β€” Molebears, a brand-new creature, have made their home in the depths of Stonebound Burrow. Don't let their appearance fool youβ€”these creatures are dangerous opponents capable of burrowing underground to completely avoid incoming damage. With high creature density and experience rates comparable to Drakes, Stonebound Burrow offers a powerful new option for endgame hunting.

β€’ Stone Naturalists at Stonebound Burrow, Ostera (Level 83–85 and 93–95) β€” Stone Naturalists are another brand-new creature making their debut in Stonebound Burrow. Masters of the environment surrounding them, these seemingly peaceful creatures are far more capable in combat than their appearance suggests. Underestimating them would be a mistake.

β€’ Leaf Naturalists at Lifebound Pass, Ostera (Level 83–85 and 93–95) β€” The recently discovered Leaf Naturalists have expanded their presence throughout Lifebound Pass. Much like their Stone counterparts, they draw upon the environment around them and can prove considerably more dangerous than they first appear.

Glaceforde

β€’ [🀝] Yetis at Frostclaw Cliff, Glaceforde (Level 94–96) β€” A large new Yeti hunting area has emerged between Frostclaw Cliff and Chillmane Crag. High creature density and strong experience rates make it a rewarding destination for endgame Adventurers, but don't expect an easy huntβ€”Yetis remain among the most dangerous creatures roaming Glaceforde.

β€’ [🀝] Iceforged Dwarves at Snowdeep Mines, Glaceforde (Level 90–92) β€” The Iceforged Dwarves continue to push deeper into Snowdeep Mines, opening a new hunting area within their expanding domain. And their excavation efforts are far from finished β€” an even larger area lies further below and will become accessible soon.

β€’ Iceforged Dwarves at Deadbane Halls, Glaceforde (Level 70–75) β€” A small number of additional Iceforged Dwarves have been added throughout Deadbane Halls to improve quest progression through the area. This is a minor adjustment, and the existing level range remains unchanged.

Elder Coast

β€’ [🀝] Draconic Elves at Crowfell, Elder Coast (Level 94–96) β€” The expansion of Crowfell continues. A new high-density Draconic Elf hunting area is now accessible, finally providing Adventurers with a proper location to hunt these dangerous creatures.

β€’ [🀝] Dwarves at Thormarok Mountain, Elder Coast (Level 92–94) β€” After remaining sealed for ages, the mysterious door within Thormarok Mountain has finally opened, revealing a sprawling Dwarven mecha factory hidden behind it. Those willing to explore its depths carefully may discover that the factory holds more than just its inhabitants…

Frost Steppes

β€’ [🀝] Yornish at Yorn'omaala, Frost Steppes (Level 93–95) β€” A new Yornish hunting area has been added to Yorn'omaala. While smaller than some of the other additions arriving with this update, it provides another valuable option for Adventurers looking to diversify their endgame hunting rotation.

Rohna Woods

β€’ [🀝] Saltdusks at Saltdusk Keep, Rohna Woods (Level 92–94) β€” Saltdusks have begun gathering around Saltdusk Keep, establishing a new high-level hunting area in Rohna Woods. Whatever is causing their sudden activity, it doesn't appear to be confined to Rohna Woods…

Rangers Company

With the arrival of all these new and revamped hunting areas, Rangers Company is expanding alongside them! A new selection of tasks has been added across multiple level ranges, giving Adventurers more choices when selecting their hunts and bringing greater variety to Rangers Company progression.

β€’ Ostera β€” Direhorn Drakes [92–100], Stonelings [92–100], Naturalists [79–87] and [89–97], Molebears [91–99], and Saltdusks [91–99];
β€’ Glaceforde β€” Iceforge Dwarves [86–94] and Yetis [90–98];
β€’ Elder Coast β€” Dwarves [88–96] and Draconic Elves [90–98];
β€’ Frost Steppes β€” Yornish [89–97];
β€’ Rohna Woods β€” Saltdusks [91–99].

Alongside these new tasks, we're making a few additional adjustments to Rangers Company:

β€’ Yetis are now classified as Strong creatures. Kill count requirements have been reduced across all Yeti tasks to better reflect the challenge.
β€’ Dwarves and Mecha Dwarves now belong to the same creature family. Defeating either type will count toward Dwarf task progression, allowing you to hunt both variants without interrupting your progress.

Coming Next

As part of our continued improvements to creature combat, an additional hotfix is already undergoing QA with combat refinements for a wide range of creatures. This update will revisit several skills and mechanics based on community feedback, with a focus on making encounters more engaging, intuitive, and rewarding to fight.

These improvements will also apply to several creatures found throughout the new hunting areas introduced in this update, with more details to come alongside the hotfix.

Getting into RavenQuest just got easier! We have introduced Google Sign-In across both the RavenQuest Website and Game Client, providing a faster and more convenient way to create an account and jump into the game.

New Adventurers can now register directly with their Google account, skipping the traditional account creation process, and use the same option to log in with Google on both the Website and Game Client going forward.

For now, Google Sign-In is available exclusively for new accounts created using Google. If you already have a RavenQuest account, nothing changes for you: your existing account and login credentials will continue to work exactly as they do today.

For new Adventurers, however, joining the world of RavenQuest is now just a few clicks away!

Inspect Player

You can now inspect other Adventurers! A brand-new Inspect option has been added to the context menu, allowing you to take a closer look at another player's equipped items and character stats. Whether you are checking out a powerful build, comparing gear, or simply curious about another Adventurer's setup, it's now just a click away!

[🀝] World Map

Finding your way around the world just got easier! We have introduced new improvements to the World Map interface, making it cleaner, easier to navigate, and more convenient when searching for points of interest across different floors:

β€’ Added dedicated floor navigation buttons to the Map interface, allowing you to quickly move up or down between floors. Whether you are searching through caves, buildings, or multi-level areas, finding the right destination should now be much more intuitive.
β€’ World Map icons can now be grouped together! When multiple icons overlap in the same location, they will be consolidated into a single expandable icon, keeping the World Map much cleaner and easier to read. Simply hover over the grouped icon to see all the points of interest contained within it. Icon grouping applies exclusively to the World Map and does not affect the Minimap.

Combat

β€’ Increased PvP damage reduction from 50% to 60%.

This change is being made based on community feedback, with over 95% approval, to increase time-to-kill in PvP. Currently, fights can be too burst-heavy, leaving players with too little time to react, adapt, or outplay their opponents.

This effectively reduces PvP damage by roughly 20% compared to the current values. For now, this is a smaller adjustment that we’ll closely monitor over the week.

We are already working on a larger balance pass targeting exceptionally high-burst abilities and combos, but we wanted to get an immediate improvement live rather than wait for the next full balance patch.

[🀝] Ring Warforging Scrolls

Based on your feedback, Ring Warforging Scrolls are getting a power boost! The stat bonus applied to your equipped Legendary Ring(s) has been doubled, increasing from 20% β†’ 40%

The duration remains 1 hour, and the cost stays unchanged at 50 Warforging Shards per scroll. Same cost, double the power!

Quality of Life

β€’ [🀝] When no task is selected, the Rangers Company interface will now display your current number of available charges and the remaining time until your next charge is restored, bringing the same information already available through the Bounty Board directly into the interface.
β€’ [🀝] When opening the Currency Exchange, the input field will now automatically start with 1 $QUEST or 1 Lucky Coin, immediately displaying its current exchange value and making it easier to understand the current rate before placing an order.

General

β€’ Added missing PT-BR translations to the Character, Infusion, and the RavenCards interfaces.
β€’ Disabled the Name Change and Sex Change options when $QUEST is selected as the payment method in the Quality of Life category of the Munk Shop, preventing attempts to purchase them since this payment option is currently unavailable.

β€’ Added Sigil indicators to the Tyrants end screen for Sigils 6–10.
β€’ Removed random Anniversary NPCs from the Ravencrest Seasonal Hub.
β€’ Fixed an issue where certain Moa reins could incorrectly appear over the character when using certain Outfits.
β€’ Fixed an issue when switching between aim-based skills where the previously selected skill could remain active. Selecting a new aim-based skill now immediately replaces the current aim circle, correctly resets the previous skill's mouse targeting state, and ensures the most recently selected ability is cast when clicking. This also prevents the previous skill from being accidentally cast or having its cooldown consumed after switching.
